With its soaring vaulted ceilings, breath-taking original windows and its blend of functional, open plan space and Victorian Gothic elegance, it is easy to see why the Old Library is a much loved wedding venue. -
Since being faithfully restored from the Old Library’s origins as one of Birmingham’s first free libraries in 1866, the romantic setting has played host to many happy and unique wedding days.
Wedding guests will be left mesmerised by the architecturally stunning building, which is flooded with natural daylight and exudes a romantic atmosphere.
The venue can easily accommodate up to 150 guests for a ceremony and sit-down reception, and there is further space for a large bar area and dance floor, separated from the main space by three grand arch ways.
The versatile space can easily cater to a particular theme that has been envisaged for a wedding day and the experienced events team will be on hand to ensure the wedding day reflects the couple’s vision.
The Old Library is nestled amongst the Custard Factory development, providing a variety of diverse and unique backdrops for the all important wedding photos.
The raised entrance to the Old Library is made private from the Custard Factory with a tranquil water feature and outside gate.
Various Wedding Breakfast Menus are available, suiting a variety of budgets and food requirements to ensure there is something for guests to enjoy.
